So, I'm Lee, the creator of Home Design by Lee.

Background
I have always had a passion for property, even from a young age. Something I inherited from my parents, even when moving house I remeber love going on house viewings or looking round the New Builds! That never left me, and I was fortunate to carve a career in estate agency out in the early 2000's where I quickly became a successful area manager for a number of years. My honest approach and desire to help people move allowed to help sell 1,000s of homes and garnish a reputation of being the agent who could sell the unsellable homes, the ones which were just stuck. Unfortunately in in the late 00's the financial crisis took its impact and I had to take a different career path but the passion for property very much remained with me.

Life changes
In 2015 I was diagnosed with a very rare and recently discovered disability which is part of the muscular dystrophy family of conditions. Understanding the road which lay ahead, In 2017 I purchased a dated bungalow to ensure I had a space which would work for me, whatever life threw at me.

Renovation and present day
In 2019 I completed the renovation of my dated 1960's bungalow into a modern single story home that is anything other than a drab bungalow! Documenting this journey on Instagram earned me over 25,000 followers, and I started to receive requests for support.

This provided an ideal opportunity to fulfil my passion once more, and launch Home Design by Lee. Since doing so in 2020, I have helped a number of people unlock potential in their homes or provide guidance around home styling (especially on a budget!). My Home Design services remain core of what I love, however In 2024 I am excited to compliment that service by providing a range of gorgeous homewares!
